My first post and a newby when it comes to inverters so please bear with me. Have had the above for 2 months now and used maybe 5 times during our power outages. Today used for 2 1/2 hrs running only wi-fi and computer. When power came back on charging started the fan is still on nearly six hours later. LCD indicated after an hour or so that battery is 100% charged but fan remains on. Is it ok once power goes off to unplug inverter and move to another room close to wi-fi station or must the inverter remain plugged in even when power is off.

Charging can take sometime, so the fans will remain on for a bit, well technically a lead acid battery loses about 3% of charge a month without being float charged, so you could keep it unplugged as long as you remember to charge it once a week or so.
Though it's quite a hefty solution for WiFi?

I have the same inverter, i normally switch it off at night when I switch off my computer. Next morning when I switch it back on, even though I have used nothing and the battery is at 100% the fan stays on for about an hour.

So if the fan stays on for an hour after non use I suppose I should not be too concerned if it stays on for five hours after 2 1/2 hrs of use. I leave my inverter permanently on as it powers my tv and hi-fi both of which are mainly in standby mode during the day. Fan is off during this period.

I sometimes do the same as well, and yeah the fan kicks in for about an hour. Think it just getting the batteries back to float.

Have a look at my post in the other thread above this range of inverters. Once the batteries reach almost 100% charge, the inverter ramps down very slowly for a few hours.

The lcd indicator is useless on mecer, it reads battery voltage while charging most time will show near 100% when its not.

Voltage has to be read while disconnect and been standing for a while.

It's okay, that's kind of the job of an inverter/UPS is when the power goes off it takes the load and puts it on batteries.
