Hi, what batteries does this unit Mercer ME 2000 WTU use.

Are they worth replacing, or should we just buy a new unit.

Thanks

https://www.geewiz.co.za/ups-inverters-batteries/126906-power-kingdom-12v-9ah-battery.html ?
That looks like it's a standard 12v 8 or 9ah battery? Okay clicked the link that is frak expensive for that.

Was gonna post your links then I saw original = AGM

So probably has a higher cycle count than normal LA's hence the price.

You know if these are spill proof, as they stand on edge in the UPS box?

LA's = Sealed

I cant find original's cycle count cause normally LA = 200-300 and AGM = 600-1200 based on DoD

If I had that Unit, I would rather see if I can DIY a (R5000) Hubble S-120 instead of (R7000) 6 x Yuasa's
That way I would not have to worry about Depth of discharge and also score an extra 50AH on top of it.

But then again I am a DIY type of person :D
