Merlin U630 on Win SP2...

I am using both the E220 and a U630, but on several machines. On my daughter's desktop I installed a PCI_PCMCIA card for use of the Merlin card.
She loaded SP2 on her desktop, but when the Merlin was used, with MobiLink V2.2, the driver was not installed coz of an Error Code 10 (in Device Manager)

Is this common ?

However, some Googling brought us 2 pieces to the solution.

mf.sys is gone after the SP2 upgrade. copy it from another pre SP2 PC.
new device drivers from another 'across the borders' SP.

This seemed to solve the issue.

Did anybody else come across the same error ?

Yes, it seems to be a known problem, see this thread.
Hmm, and my search didnt go that far back. In essense thats what I did on the all the PCs. What was interesting was the error occurred after loading SP2. I uninstalled everything when the card packed up, and loaded everything again when it was replaced.

MTNDD, that where the error started when I ran it past my Device Manager. :)
