Yeah, most of the Facebook salaries and perks I've seen are somewhat mindblowing actually...
I reckon they could cut 10 - 20% of their staffing costs by just trimming some of the retarded perks and by trim I don't mean get rid, I just mean being smart about them.
The FB specific benefits are mostly marketing targeted at new graduates and very few actually use them (at least long term). The other stuff they need because it’s standardized across the industry. Having to pay for food is nuts apparently.
They actually do work pretty hard there. One has to be pretty ambitious just to get in, and most people are pretty laser focused on promotion.
