Metro Fibre and open access to estate: Advice needed

Hi all, need some guidance.

A year or more ago Metrofibre installed fibre to the homes in our estate from the estate gate. However we were forced to sign with them as ISP at ridiculous rate. They indicated that the estate would become open access later which it did. However they now only allow open access with the providers listed below, not sure why.

I am not really familiar with the pricing/service of any of these and currently using WebAfrica for adsl and want to continue using them for fibre (I like their service).

Any advice on how to approach this matter either with the Estate or Metrofibre? Isn't open access suppose to mean I can use any service provider?

Thanks

Just go with Cool Ideas. Much better than WebAfrica.

I'm open to correction but Open Access means the ISP must apply to be on the network.

+1 for Cool Ideas.

Had a terrible experience with Iconnect.

Thanks for the suggestion; I did a bit of digging.

Seems like I should in fact change to Cool Ideas and not wait for webafrica to get on the open access! They are slightly more vs Home Connect, but would rather pay extra if the experience is better.

Yeap exactly, need to sign MSAs etc. MFN also charge 3rd party ISPs for access bandwidth on their network, kind of like an IPC fee.

Thanks but already placed the order with Cool Ideas. Just wished Metrofibre wasn't in the equation, trying to get hold of them for anything (sales, tech support, billing) is impossible. They literally do not answer their phone !!
