So I'm doing some home renovations and despite me telling the contractors to be careful of the fibre point ... They snapped the optic cable from the fibre termination box.

Phoned Metro fibre to come and fix this and I am told 3-4 working days ? Is this sla the norm with other fibre providers ?

One thing though as much as people have bitched about telkom I know they were out the next day to resolve any faults . The fix here though would likely be a splice

Had a break in the splice box earlier in the year, on Vuma, reported at about 15:00 on a Saturday, re-spliced by 17:30 the same day, call out and repair was free of charge.

It's unfortunate that on FTTH there's no SLA as it's called best effort service. No guaranteed speeds and turnaround time

So Metro fibre came out the next day. Fixed and running. No charge

Guess it's under promise and over deliver which works for me
