I'm not super me keen on this thing. Can I replace it with anything with a WAN port? Is there some type of interoperability issue?

Thanks

The Gigahub, has the GPON port, so you cannot connect any router with a wan port, why do you not like it?

The Ethernet ports are finicky to start.

Twice now, the power dies and it when it comes up, everything works - but zero throughput on the Ethernet ports. Within the GUI it picks up the devices (ie TV, PS4) etc and the TV detects it has been plugged in - but zero throughput. I battle for hours ... and then go sleep.

I wake up, and everything is perfect again.

It did this last night - I killed the power on it and when it came back a few minutes later, no throughput. I tried for hours and gave up. This morning, all working ...

EDIT : Within the GUI, also tried resetting everything and rebooting, as I thought maybe something with a firewall

Ave you considered asking Metrofibre if you can use another router and what their suggestion would be? What model is this "Gigahub" do you have?

Strange, I have had a Gigahub for 2 years and never a problem, it might just have an issue. Have you contacted MFN and asked them to have a look at it

Thanks - will check the links.

As for asking then, no - the 2nd time was only last night.

I also know from experience they don't really have great support and battle to see issues in retrospect. In other words, they'll get my mail and decide to reply next week when everything is fine. They'll also blame everything else.

Not a massive issue right now, but the expectation is you're fairly alone when you get them
