Michael Jordaan argues that Zimbabwe should adopt a stable cryptocurrency

They could, and it would work because they have no base currency to worry about de-valuing with the crypto currency.

But they wont, because looting is the popular pass time, not making your country rich and better.

How they gonna print more crypto when the troughs run dry? That stuff has to be mined, with electricity yo!

No such thing as a stable crypto. Perhaps giving sht advice is why he is the FORMER CEO.

Libra isn't like Bitcoin or Ripple or that lot. It is best compared to the IMF's special drawing rights (XDR) a basket of stable currencies.

They won't because they want to have control over money supply (which is why they're plagued by hyperinflation as their artificial controls aren't working and won't work). If they could they could as well adopt any of the other fiat currencies around such as the USD, Pula, Euro, etc.

How would they steal the people's money if they move to crypto?

A country with barely any ICT and electricity infrastructure should adopt cryptocurrency... That's the dumbest thing I've seen MJ say.

Money works on supply and demand just like everything else.

They need to create a demand for their currency to give it value. Nothing else will work.
