Card payments directly into your account?
Damn wont work then..
If not available in SA, what do you use it for?
The other option of course is to bill via their cellphone account but the network operator takes 50%
OP does say EFT is not practical for his situation?
So I am developing an application that is subscription based. The fee is relatively small (R10-R50 per month) but the volume high (~3000 users). What is the best way to bill this? EFT impractical for me as well as users.
I have recently helped setup a billing system for a friend.
He also has to bill roughly 5000 people a month for 5-10 rand. He used zoho before that.
We have used whmcs for the recurring billing part. Yes, whmcs is mainly for hosting providers, can be used for anything though. Setting it up is easy and painless. You will need something like payfast or sagepay if you want to accept credit card payments. They both have whmcs credit card plugins. My mate uses a custom developed plugin that hooks into Wappoint, as they offer better rates.
Downside, you'll need a domain and hosting for this to work.
Interesting.. are you saying each customer has to have a domain?
