Microsft 365 price increasing by as much as 43% in South Africa

Google Workplace has also had a slight increase. I think their entry account is increased by $2. Well, they include Gemini now, not the whole suite, but the essentials.

I'm paid up until 2029.

You can buy it here for R1099 and then stack for up to 5 years:

Haah it’s only money, let’s just pay gents.
Says me after XRP went up 500% in 2 months:D

Either buy the full package (which you do not need to upgrade for another 10+ years) or download a version from the Internet that is totally free. You will save yourself a lot of money in the long term.

So got notice our subscription is changing to over R15k from 20 February 2025. I gather this is an error.

Definitely going to have to look closely at this to be sure the assumed "error" doesn't translate to an actual billing charge. Looking at other options too is not out of the question now. Convenience might just be to expensive.

On a side note, I gather the initial 45% odd increase will be related to the fact that Co-Pilot is going to be part of the overall package and Microsoft 365 Personal and Business subscribers won't need to pay the extra $20 per month.

R100 more for Family "without AI"
Interesting to see that I am not seeing this screen but rather get a two free month option in its place.

True that, I still use Office 2010 which I bought way back when, I only use word and excel, no need to upgrade because both still works flawlessly for my needs.

Problem is that it is not just microsoft. It is everything. Can't keep up.

Frustrating that everything has moved towards subscription services.
