Microsoft increasing prices of new first-party Series X|S games

Microsoft Corp. is raising the price of new Xbox games to $70 from $60 starting in 2023, following other big gaming rivals from Ubisoft Entertainment SA to Sony Group Corp. and Take-Two Interactive Software Inc.

The $10 bump, which was earlier reported by IGN, will affect next-generation games including Starfield, Redfall and Forza Motorsport, the company said in a statement.

GP increase is coming sooner or later :)

Even if they match PS+ Extra or even Deluxe pricing will still be worth it.

That is roughly a 16% increase in the cost of a game, using that same increase for Game Pass, your monthly sub will be R139 a month or R1700 a year for ultimate and about R92 a month or R 1100 a year.

Not that bad, considering one game sets you back between 1200 to 1700 these days.

Both PS and Xbox annual rates come discounted rates <- reason why I dont do monthly.

But yeah even at full price it rocks.
