You can install those and if it doesn't run it in compatibility mode.

It installed, but made no difference. The Wifi works, the signal just dropped, as if the voltage might have been decreased somehow.

i upgraded my Windows 10 this morning to the latest windows 10 via that "Media creation tool", i did this with TeamViewer from work. Surprisingly an hour later windows was back online and updated successfully, all drivers are up to date now. But still uses the same Wifi Driver. Will check when i'm at home if it works better.

i have to say, Windows 10 feels much faster than windows 7 on the same machine.

It is problem with initialization of the WiFi card. Maximum radio power is adjusted according to the country to conform regulatory requirements. If Windows fails to initialize country setting correctly, full radio power is not activated.

As for Windows 10 being faster than 7, it is not true. It is faster, as it is a fresh installation. When you do fresh installation of Windows 7, you will see a difference.

+ 1 Running both on PC. Keep Win 7 clean of junk and it will give Win 10 a run for its money. Have trouble "transforming". Not coming to grips with the Win 10 UI. Still feels like smartphone interface.

Well, you've got to agree the Settings interface is useless :)
I also changed to Start10. Also missing some W7 features. I'm repeating myself though, I have mentioned it earlier in the thread.

TBH honest I only went into settings to make the keyboard automatically pop up on my tablet, other than that I stick to the CP.

I downloaded Windows 10 today and installed on an old laptop. Old IBM think pad that's connected to the tv for streaming videos and music.
So far it's behaving well.
I'm adjusting. Will give it a good try and see how this plays out.
