Our company, Industrial Data Xchange (www.idx.co.za) based in Fourways Johannesburg, is a small, industrial engineering company, specialising in Industrial data communications solutions. Apart from product sales/distribution/support and running a certified industrial network training centre, we develop our own solutions which involves both hardware and software development.
We are looking to grow our development team with ‘intermediate’ software developers that, most importantly, are passionate about architecting new solutions and contributing to and shaping our C#/.net-based software framework, as well as embedded platforms.
Responsibilities include:
• End-to-end solution development & maintenance of existing code base (architecting new solutions and maintaining/refactoring existing code, building unit tests, solution testing, installer development/maintenance)
• Reporting and self-management within an Agile framework.
• Accountability to and ability to work with other members in a small team.
Our Requirements:
• BSc qualification and/or demonstrable engineering/development background.
• 3+ years’ experience in C# software development.
• Strong command of object-orientated development principals, logical code structure, formatting and layout.
• Experience with technologies such as SQL//HTML5/Web development/C++
• Other embedded/hardware development are advantageous but are not a requirement
• Experience with industrial data communications systems or industrial control systems would be highly beneficial but is not essential.
• Fit with our company culture/values.
Salary (as a general indication, cost-to-company, excluding any bonus):
• R360-R540k. Leave days per year is negotiable.
