Midrange phone recommendations?

Hi all.
I see that Vodacom is currently offering the Huawei Nova at R249 pm on contract. This seems like a pretty good deal, considering the phone's specs. The phone has 32gb internal storage (plus SD card slot) and 3gb RAM. Most midrangers in that price range only have 16gb onboard, which tends to disappear over time as you get more apps installed.

My question is this: For a similar price (not exceeding R280pm) are there any better or better-specced phones available right now that you would recommend?

Thanks!

If you have the money available now, rather buy your phone out right. For less than R4.5k you can get a well above mid range phone. For example I got a 5.5" 6/64Gb Octa-core Android 7 phone for less than R3k delivered.

@Sumen: Well, it would be an upgrade, so preferably Voda. Otherwise, I'd need to wait a few more months and do a port if changing carriers.

Vodacom has the P10 Lite for R279 pm on the same contract package, personally it's a better product than the Nova, be warned that both the P10 lite and Nova don't have scratch resistant screen

Good suggestions. Thanks Sumen. Anything from other manufacturers that I should keep an eye on?

Unfortunately vodacom doesn't have anything else, if I was you i would wait for the month my contract is coming to an end, its almost the end of the year and they will probably reduce their prices to get rid of old stock.
