Milkman sells pot to pensioners
23/12/2008 17:19 - (SA) London - A 72-year-old has been arrested for supplying cannabis along with morning pints of milk to pensioners on his rounds in northern England, British press reports said Tuesday.

Robert Holding, pleaded guilty at Burnley Crown Court to supplying cannabis resin, which he kept in an egg box, according to the Press Association.

Cannabis is a class C drug under British law, which carries up to two years in prison for possession and up to 14 years for dealing.

Holding is due to be sentenced on February 6.

There's something quite quaint about this and I hope the milkie gets a suspended sentence or community service.

Reminds me of the movie Saving Grace.

I'm sure that cannabis would do less harm to the old folks than most of the medication they take. :rolleyes:

Haha I'm all for the older folks smoking it up.
At their age their bodies start aching etc, weed is a nice relief.
I have a 76yr old guy in my building, gets high everyday. He's a really sweet old man...
