Same here. 16% during these times is just being greedy. I'm already seeing people talking about adsl again. Back to the stone age for a lot of people i guess.
the way i see it, internet access is not a luxury and shouldn't be priced as such. i feel R500 max is a fair price for access. for example, vumatel's last mile bandwidth is effectively free to the data centre once roi is taken into account.

At this point fibre has become a luxury name in South Africa.

So it's getting priced due to the state of request. Greedy buggers.

It's more the network provider at this point than the isp's, maybe both?
Telkom obviously is trying to catch some of it's market back.
