Lol, I'm so confused who got stuck in the zoo and why getting stuck in a lift got it fired. Bunch of clowns.

Some people lose all sense of perspective when they get stuck in a lift, and those with delusions of grandeur are likely to take out their frustrations on their subordinates.

What did this other woman have to do with the lift sticking exactly?
She was the operations manager or someone who was responsible for making sure stuck lifts are repaired or people don't get into faulty lifts, apparently this one was known to be faulty and people were warned about it, why it wasn't properly marked as out of service or how the minister ended up inside it, I really don't know.

But indeed, it looks like there was beef between the two and the lift issue was very convenient. The Minister was found wanting when she flip flopped on the reasons for firing her and claimed the lift incident had nothing to do with it, while in fact her suspension letter mentioned the lift incident.

If only public servants at all levels were fired for gross incompetence.

Incompetence is only frowned upon if it personally affects the minister, this is all there is to it, I am sure there are plenty of lifts not working in her department, the only difference is that she has not got stuck in them.
