R945-million Telkom Towers crackdown

South Africa's Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Dean Macpherson, believes his department overpaid for the now-derelict Telkom Towers in Pretoria.

This is according to the department's spokesperson, James de Villiers, who told Newzroom Afrika that the buildings still have Telkom's logos despite the department spending R250 million to renovate them.

Overpaid - and it is news?

Seems like the DA ministers are shaking the beehive a bit, I foresee this coalition disbanding at some stage, in the near future.

ANC are good at stone walling, so they can shake the beehive, only a few out of favour ants will fall out.

Slow progress. Hopefully action can happen, not just a collapse of the GNU.

For now, Tshwane is feasible because you have a DA mayor. If he's out it'll all stall again.
