Oh dear lord: if only....

I am a bit shocked into a sombre zombie state this morning after last night.

The Great"idea", one of them came up with, was to empty his invested account into Lindtbol's pocket and then.........

And then.....ummm................

And then to umm.. Borrow another 4 mill from the bank to umm...... Compound their interest and pay the loan back monthly, while gaining.

I know.

Kill. Me. Now..... My ears hurt. My head hurts. My heart is eina.

I'm fckn dumbfounded.

Last night wasn't a braai : it was a financial Roudiens....
If I may ask, what collateral did they use to get that loan of R4m? Was it over fixed property or what?

Hello Waldman , morning. He left several times to go log in on his pc onto the site. After i dropped the H bomb on them all, i didn't have the heart to even ask. I would imagine home, business, both, or property.

2011 some twatt in Cape town took 5, of them for over 100Btc . Once i heard that, i got up and left.

All those predictions i saw you guys making: pending dates ( from the 7th) a mere 2 days away in advance from that, bets and guesses evenly spread over December/early Jan and I'm thinking " shohh , that's being a little optimistic...... No?"

Turns out i obviously just hadn't been exposed yet to the true wrath of delayed withdrawals, like a covid doubting Thomas who's not lost a relative or friend yet.

Now I'm standing close to the drop zone, and the mushroom suddenly looms ominously over my head.

Boom.

Yup. Been battling since November 27th to get their initial withdrawal request out.
He receives 10% and they label it a decimal error. Tsk.

Since then: no luck. If not by Friday he will approach the Fsca personally , for what it's worth.

I started in May , sifting through everyone's posts, gleaning as much info as i could. This became my, cult-like obsession.

For reasons unknown: i allowed the local trainer to offend me by making me out to be a D**s : denying him the "right" to earn a living.

I could've been more outspoken about it and prevented this.....

Instead: i now sit with 3 friends, invested in their moer in Mti, utterly and completely oblivious to the sh*tstorm all of you had declared, deciphered, exposed.

I should've. ..ah ffs. I'm angry now. Puts me on a guilt trip like my ex, to make ME feel bad, for calling him out to come and present his case on Mbb. .....

En nou? Wat nou? Wat de vk nou Cor? Huh?

Nee man . Jirrr.

I feel sick this morning.

The Titanic has struck it's iceberg. Woman and children first.

What a complete. Abortion.
Not your fault.
People gonna people.

Ok, if this IS the end of MTI and once it is certain that no money will be received from MTI, the people who lost money that they ‘could not afford to lose’, needs to make the right moves immediately.

Most of them would have lost their cash-flow, which is the worst position to be in (ask me, two days before the HP Ponzi came to light we purchased a small holiday house on auction ‘since we have the money in our investment’ right?). Needless to say, there was no getting out of going forward with that auction purchase. Had to get a cash buyer asap to make it work, since we did not have that money available anymore. It was so close man, but too late.

For normal cash-flow we also had to sell an in investment seaside plot (not beachfront) quick and took about a 30% loss there but it was the only way to get cash - one needs cash to keep going.

Bottom line is, you have to do whatever you can to restore cash-flow ASAP, so that you can start up again. No time to wallow with bad thoughts and sorrow. Pick up those bootstraps bud.

I don't understand why 10%-20% PA is not enough for some

Losing those amounts over and over in scams just makes me think he got his riches by luck more than hard work.

Reality will set in soon when his regular business luck runs out as he tries to rebuild his life after this mess cleaned him out. :/

I would suggest all of your friends involved to go file a criminal complaint as soon as possible so that it is on record. The sooner people do this the sooner MTI will get dragged into court and if there is anything left then there is a chance of getting something back and the courts would act faster on prosecuting these criminals if real victims file complaints and not just a non criminal complaint issued by the FSCA.

I know a person that did something similar and lost around R32m back in 2012 with the Herman Pretorius Ponzi.

Another local businessman down over R100m

We did not lose that much, ‘only’ around R1.4m original capital, but it was all our saving and had to start all over as well as scramble to make an income. Unfortunately other family members lost also, so it was a tough time for several years. There were no member referrals, it was only a ‘hedge fund’ which turned out to be a Ponzi.

Only thing I can advise you (before the collapse is official) is to see legal council asap, preferably a firm specializing in business and liquidations. Maybe do this before laying a charge at the Police. The lawyer should be able to give the best legal advice there.

Just don’t go to Ulrich and Co.

Good luck.
I'm afraid the horse for liquidation has bolted. Typically, if a company is liquidated all the assets are sold and the proceeds, less costs divided between the creditors. And this can be a hefty sum.

So what would happen here is all MTIs assets will be sold. I don't foresee that they any assets of value except for the bitcoin, if there are any left. If it is like we all suspect that the Bitcoin is gone, there won't be much to distribute.

The big plus with liquidation is that there could be an insolvency enquiry, which believe me is, to say the least, a very unpleasant experience. Here things can be ironed out such what happened to the money, who knew about the scheme and so on.

Because most people don't want to work to build up their nest egg that then earns higher $ even at same interest rate.

People want to put in the least amount of work/money, get the highest returns as quickly as possible so they can retire and not lift a finger as early as possible.

Exactly.
It always boils down to greed.
This is a human condition we all struggle with.
My income is not enough...
My family are not enough...
My spouse is not enough...

Sometimes we need to spend a day studying the lives of those who have really struggled to appreciate what we have. Go read a book on the Holocaust or something if you have to.

That is very, very good advice and anyone who is caught must do it asap.

As far as I’m aware, these things always ends in Liquidation and takes many years to complete.

Unfortunately, so far it seems that MTI is covering up very effectively. Admin and Directors (e.g. Cheri) are repeatedly blaming unidentified Technical Support for the "delays". No-one has said anything that can be used as evidence that payments won't be made (sorry to sound like Hopfrog). I rather think that this zombie has some time to go - they are buying time to get new members so they can start dribbling out small payments to shut the sheeple up. As we have seen, there are people who are worried about the delays in SIGNING UP new members. Some of the shills are still going all out to build downlines further.
