No and Yes, generally speaking.
It is usually time vs posts. It has to do with credibility. You might not have a lot of posts, but you have been here a while. So you are not a hit and run. There are probably other users who know you and have a relationship with you.
Lets take this alleged ponzi scheme as an example:
Here on MyBB if someone has a few posts and recently registered and they say something positive about MTI. What is the first response?
Compare that to someone who has a few posts and recently registered and say something negative about MTI.
What is the response?
Of course if an opinion supports the majority of opinions, it will automatically be accepted, whether it is a credible source or not.
I think we have double standards here.
The only reason why I would consider some of the opinions in the dishonest wiki is because of @Snyper564. Of course I won't take everything he say blindly and still make up my own mind, but we have interacted for many years and he has been a member here for a long time. I won't however use his opinions as a source to a wiki unless it is backedup by a valid or very little to doubt source.
This does not mean I think @Spxdxrbxtxs is talking rubbish. It just means I will think twice before I consider his word for something.
Please don't hear what I am not saying. Just that is how the forum functions, whether we like it or not. It is a community after all, and communities are formed on relationships and time.
The forum requires trust for relationships to be established and maintained.
The wiki, by contrast, requires evidence in order to be seen as credible.
I'd hate for anyone to take my word for anything since this is clearly an anonymous account.
Other relevant issue is, since this is a sensitive topic for some, that an established member might not like his (or her) usual handle to be associated with the posts made in this thread. A throwaway account can be a thing.
We are naturally suspicious of newly-created accounts but @Spxdxrbxtxs seems at least to be on the level
@RedViking - thanks for the feedback, it's noted and useful. Given a bit more time, the wiki will hopefully become more substantiated, but the amount of effort that actually has to be put in is substantial. Even when you have these threads to draw upon as resources, there's a lot of stuff to wade through.
Thanks and yeah - lots of work still to be done.
It's not quite Ready Player One yet where I can just swipe in evidence onto your screen. And it would be tagged and highlighted with additional links all just in there.
