No and Yes, generally speaking.

It is usually time vs posts. It has to do with credibility. You might not have a lot of posts, but you have been here a while. So you are not a hit and run. There are probably other users who know you and have a relationship with you.

Lets take this alleged ponzi scheme as an example:

Here on MyBB if someone has a few posts and recently registered and they say something positive about MTI. What is the first response?

Compare that to someone who has a few posts and recently registered and say something negative about MTI.
What is the response?

Of course if an opinion supports the majority of opinions, it will automatically be accepted, whether it is a credible source or not.

I think we have double standards here.

The only reason why I would consider some of the opinions in the dishonest wiki is because of @Snyper564. Of course I won't take everything he say blindly and still make up my own mind, but we have interacted for many years and he has been a member here for a long time. I won't however use his opinions as a source to a wiki unless it is backedup by a valid or very little to doubt source.

This does not mean I think @Spxdxrbxtxs is talking rubbish. It just means I will think twice before I consider his word for something.

Please don't hear what I am not saying. Just that is how the forum functions, whether we like it or not. It is a community after all, and communities are formed on relationships and time.

The forum requires trust for relationships to be established and maintained.
The wiki, by contrast, requires evidence in order to be seen as credible.
I'd hate for anyone to take my word for anything since this is clearly an anonymous account.

Other relevant issue is, since this is a sensitive topic for some, that an established member might not like his (or her) usual handle to be associated with the posts made in this thread. A throwaway account can be a thing.

We are naturally suspicious of newly-created accounts but @Spxdxrbxtxs seems at least to be on the level ;)

@RedViking - thanks for the feedback, it's noted and useful. Given a bit more time, the wiki will hopefully become more substantiated, but the amount of effort that actually has to be put in is substantial. Even when you have these threads to draw upon as resources, there's a lot of stuff to wade through.

Thanks and yeah - lots of work still to be done.

It's not quite Ready Player One yet where I can just swipe in evidence onto your screen. And it would be tagged and highlighted with additional links all just in there.

I think one thing that will help for when information is used on the the wiki;

A source (there are actually many on the wiki, can't remember all the links) referred to a post on this forum that posted content of an apparent Telegram conversation. There is however no screenshot of the Telegram conversation that can make it a credible source. Anyone can post anything here and claim it is from xxx platform, but without a screenshot of the actual Whatsapp, Telegram or Facebook making it a bit more credible, I don't think it can be used as a reason for credible claim. It just makes the information look weak and possible made up.

It doesn't help X user on here can also confirm it is legit. People who click that link are only lead to the linked source and that is all they see.

So make sure the users that are posting from another platform also take a screenshot, blur out names and faces they don't want to be seen, send the original to the authors of the wiki, and post the screen shot with the claim.
Ah fudgesicles.
I know the link.
Nutbags. There were two posts - one had the Telegram shot and the other had the text and the Telegram group name.
My bad. Consider it fixed.

Some years ago I registered a company for a lady that had the name Gallop Industries. She is an all-things-horses type of person and intended operating a cottage industry connected thereto.

In possibly two months we received a complaint from similar sounding pollsters and they made a number of demands, among other things that we deregister the company and desist from using literally hundreds of names and associations. Ultimately we settled on the arrangement and undertaking that the client would not use the company etc etc. Bear in mind I merely registered the company on behalf of the client and the client was both the incorporator and the initial director. My details were obtained from CIPC!

The point was that the complainant effectively had unlimited funds, me not so much. So the merits of their claims were entirely irrelevant.

And maybe therein lies the rub; if the organisation launches any sort of legal claim against the publishers of the wiki, the organisation has massive financial resources and the publishers I am guessing somewhat less and then the publishers are almost bound to have to retract all allegations unless they are bulletproof. RedViking is saying that this might well be the case from his perception.

I agree that this is a potential consequence of the wiki - regardless of its integrity.
I just don't think it's likely with MTI's current legal department.
That said, I'd prefer the wiki to stand on it's own merits if the worst came to worst.

I suppose they'd have to give some sort of takedown notice with reference to what specifically needs to be taken down IF they were to contact the wiki owner?

A couple of people listed on the wiki asking to be removed, or not happy with something that was said on the site. Sometimes what they say is valid and the content is edited right away. People are urged to report any information that is inaccurate.

There is contact information listed on the front page for this type of contact.

@Spxdxrbxtxs the screenshot proof you required. It was just such a LONG message that at the time (26 October 2020) I copied and pasted. Sorry about that.

My first mistake was I thought it always a Telegram post. (It is a Telegram post)
My second was not double-checking I had the screenshots.
You are an absolute yster.

MTI Trading Balance is still growing, seems people is more greedy than concerned.
View attachment 943128
Assuming the balance is calculated from actual deposits and withdrawals and the fictitious profits (I'm inclined to think the backoffice is probably legit from an accounting point of view) then at about 20,000 BTC and about 1% profit per day, with 65% (40%+20%+5%) of the profit going into the balance you'd expect growth of the balance to be about 80 BTC per day and then 250 BTC extra on the weekend when bonus are paid, even if no-one is depositing.

If it's growing slower (would need to calculate daily based on a published profits) then withdrawals are exceeding deposits. Or maybe the number is just made up and has nothing to do with people's backoffice balances.

Anyone who has played around with any form of trading whatsoever will know that at 200:1 leverage your trade will more often than not close immediately upon opening due to the spread wiping you out. (ask me how...the exuberance, and naivety of youth) .

But it's all good, the magic MTI bot read 'The Secret', it's part of it's AI programming and it's so hardcore it simply wills the spread away.
Yeah, the spread is about a 1/200th of the value of the trade with their amazing $50 spread on USDBTC, so if you used all your leverage on a single trade you'd just end up wiping the account almost immediately. No sane person trades at 1:200 unless maybe you are scalping, which they aren't because spread.

Please enlighten me around the chocolates. It's a recurring theme, and I can't face 600 pages to get to the bottom of it.
We are jealous of how many chocolates Cheri can afford.

And she looks like she eats too many on a very regular basis.

It is a type of fat shaming that none of us are proud of, but battle to avoid. Hence choccies/lindt

There was a social media post at one point just after she bought the house I think that she bragged about the big box of Lindor that she was eating.

Was a picture she posted of herself lying on the couch with an entire bowl of what looked like Lindt Lindor...I doubt it was bite-sized vegetables wrapped in colourful packaging.
