Can't decide if this is good or bad. I think bad. Once he gets here I suspect the chance of a successful prosecution is low. Would be better if the Americans get him.

I don’t think a conviction would be a problem in this case. No political agenda here. If anything, an Afrikaans white boy stole billions from unsuspecting victims of all colors and creeds. He is pretty much farked.

To be honest, I would not feel overwhelmed with fury if JS wriggled free AS LONG AS Cheri, Clynton, Monica, Rich, Joel, Ignatius and their peers go down heavily. He needs to be coached how and when to sing by the Brasilian police and whoever from South Africa who fetches him. He needs to name the admin people who kept sending out false hopes and their role in generating false (sorry, FAAAAAKKKE) data. He in no way ran all of MTI on his own; the identification of the management team members and team leaders by MTI was admission that there was a management structure.

All who ran and heavily shilled MTI need to be brought down heavily, and preferably soon enough that those who lost money still remember how they ignored warnings and advice. The pilot fish that gathered crumbs from the big fish must also have the sh** scared out of them.

[Gentle reminder to all who were self-satisfied MTIers: check what happened to Bernie Madoff's senior staff. A fun year awaits you, especially now Johann has been found by authorities.] Cheri's team should have made sure they got to Johann first, instead of enjoying Christmas on ill-gotten gains.

I hope it takes a few months to arrange his extradition. Brazilian prisons are hard and as a foreign criminal, with no ties to local organized crime, a pudgy whiteboy who looks about as tough as a marshmallow, he is going to have a very rough time there. Here in SA, there’s a possibility that he could use his money to make life easier for himself in prison. A few months getting passed around in Brazil is what he deserves.
