A pity about this because some of the worst scammers will say that it shows that MTI is "innocent". Of course it does nothing of the sort. It doesn't address whether MTI should be liquidated or not, just that the scumbags shouldn't be interrogated again under Sections 417/418. The judge explicitly states this as in @Decor13's quote.

It also has nothing at all to do with the fact that MTI, solvent or not, was an illegal operation. ponzi/pyramid and anyone directly associated with it was undertaking illegal activities and/or benefiting from a crime. That is still the big court case.

Still many packets of popcorn to go.

It's no wonder the scammers desperately wanted to avoid any questioning now. They have no idea what JS is saying during interrogation as part of his defense against extradition or might say in court here or in the US. They very sensibly don't want to take any chances of Cheri saying too much if she goesinto a rant during questioning. Although attention is focused on Johann and the management are keeping it that way, MTI was a company or investment club and that is the area of criminal liability lies.

If you are a loser in MTI, it is imperative that you join this telegram channel link below, where information obtained from the liquidators will be posted as well as the correct processes to follow. The factions fighting the liquidation are using members to protect the interests of the winners. Unfortunately many are falling for the narrative which is both misleading and not in the interest of the members/losers. Hahaha; they really just try to (incorrectly) use emotive language - "That your MTI claim is not declared a Ponzi."!
Although the liquidation process is affected by the legal status of MTI and from that, the status of investors/members, it is not an individual claim that will be a Ponzi but that the whole operation depended on paying existing members from new investors' bitcoin.

There is a very real chance this new scam works like this:
You pay R250 to attend the presentation. At the presentation you are sold a training pack for R5000. The training pack trains you to set up presentations for R250 a head, where you sell training packs for R5000 that trains people how to set up presentations for R250 per head that sells people training packs for R5000 that trains them to set up presentations for R250 per head.... .. . repeat.
