Hi everyone, I have been following this forum with great interest over the last week. My husband was invited to a meeting with his bro in law (a pastor). BIL pitched MTi to my husband and husbands family who all invested.
Scary how people are being sucked in by trusted family members. Obviously after reading the news and this thread, I asked hubby to withdraw funds but his family members have not heeded our warning.
Please no Christian bashing, I am Christian too but I have logic. Its really the trusted person part that is luring people into the scheme.

I am working hard to expose MTI, I work for a big four auditing company. Thank you for all that you have posted on this thread, you guys have done so much research and put so many pieces together. Looking forward to the day it sinks

Likewise, I am a Christian but have logic and there were just way to many red flags with my investigations that I couldnt share what I found.

Like you I am also in the financial world and have been part of the crypto space for years.

You are right they are definitely using "trust" to lure many many unsuspecting people into this.

Glad you found this and saw the light.

Yeah, Luno def has the proper checks in place, the irony with MTI is many people are opening multiple accounts as there is no KYC in place and can easily abuse the 10% ref bonus etc.

Glad to see you have been able to stop some of the nonsense.
There is a big difference between Christian faith and that of a cult. My family was directly responsible for establishing in the region of 200 mainline congregations in South Africa as part of the Evangelical Lutherans. However, the bashing that is being done here is in direct reference to cults. Ground Zero for MTI is the Solid Rock Church in Roodepoort which is a cult.
MTI has assimilated the cult established around Prophet Johan and directed it to Johann Steynberg. The main mind manipulator and cult priestess is Cheri Ward/Gray/Marks. The latter is a serial con-artist who moved from one husband to the next by having an affair. Obviously not an example of good Christian behaviour. All ok in the cult context as a bit of prayer and all is forgiven.
So this pozi and cult are joined at the hip and people will be taking pot shots at both.

If they use a bank account to eft to luno and follow the reverse path with 700 to 800% returns then that should trigger FIC at the bank???

I'm trying to work out the returns of the various positions in this pyramid scheme given the assumption each person puts in $100.
Its not a compound interest calculation. Is there a ponzi scheme spreadsheet calculator on the web for dummies? Haven't really looked for one but someone should have done it for a generic scheme.

with the reverse (i.e. withdrawal) path yes, the middlemen unfortunately (like your luno example) gets very little information from the bank when they receive EFT's in ZA, don't know why we just haven't moved with the times like SEPA payments in Europe where you get the account holder name and all relevant details of who sends you money

anyway, because of this blind-spot, they can be depositing and withdrawing from and to entirely separate bank accounts that may or may not even be in their name and may or may not be with separate banks, the bank and/or regulators will need cooperation from the middlemen to put all the pieces together

I guarantee you very few exchanges care about this level of scrutiny to stop criminal activities

Indeed, I see it as well poisoning when one party is disparaged for putting faith / belief above facts while the other party they are compared to actually does the same thing, just with a different "religion"
