This is something I actually thought about earlier today.

It's so difficult to think of what you might want to do in life, how to be successful, how to generate enough income that you'd never be left wanting and that you can give your family everything they could ever need.

Turns out, the difficult part is not how to generate incredible income, but rather figuring out how to do it with honesty and integrity. If this whole ordeal has taught me anything, then it's how incredibly dead easy it is to game the scheme and enrich myself whilst exerting very little effort.

Now if only I could get rid of this damn conscience and empathy for others. Stupid ethics.

I was talking about exactly this with a friend the other day...

Without morals or conscience it really does seem to be quite easy to generate incredible income in nefarious ways, I guess ultimately it’s a reason why these things are considered to be crimes as it’s not only the ill effects that they can cause but the level at which they can be adopted that is actually quite a big problem.

Ultimately though, it’s quite difficult to execute on an idea in a way that makes a success out of it most especially if you are reaching into the billions through your execution.

Have said it before and will say it again, these folks are very good at what they do, seasoned professionals... People should remember that when it hits the fan because I wouldn’t be surprised if they found some way to weasel themselves out of any wrong-doing and continue on as if nothing ever happened.

Afrikaners almost seem to be much more susceptible to herd mentality. this whole thing is a fantastic example of groupthink.
They're also overwhelmingly more religious. It was mentioned many many pages back how the Bible Belt in the USA is also a hot spot for scams, especially affinity fraud.
As for the conspiracies themselves, it's no different to the ridiculous ScienceMustFall notion.

I guess yeah.

Where groupthink applies it is likely the reason behind why these things gain such traction, word of mouth is indeed the best form of marketing after all. It also explains why MLM schemes would do so well as it offers the average person a way to “generate an income” off of these types of every day and otherwise ordinary interactions.

It also explains why people would forgo common sense in favor of a shared or common belief, something that always seemed so irrational for me but it’s quite a common part of human behavior isn’t it? We just don’t think about the opposite side of the spectrum but it likely already applies to our own beliefs in some way or form.

Anyways, just leaves me wondering if there’s something else that could be garnered from this besides all of the obvious... It’s all quite interesting to observe and try to understand. It indeed is a good source of knowledge for a lot of things.

See here, we have some groupthink?

You are who you associate with and you will begin to share common beliefs?

When the other parties have faith that trust will tend to rub off on you despite your own understanding and common sense.
Safety in numbers.

Later they get to form a support group and all tell each other that their losses could never have been predicted.

I've been reading this forum now for the last week. Can't believe people are still investing here. I know 2 people that had invested, one a friend of mine that tried to "recruit" me, another guy that I know and he is heavily invested in this scheme. He was bragging in June already of having over 2000 people signed up. Can someone check their details on the leak for me?

Interesting.... Wim Botha is a advocate. Google him. Isnt it illegal to be part of something like this.
I noticed exactly the same thing, and wondered if he would be representing them in court when this thing goes south, but I'm sure it would be a conflict of interest as he has at least one account (saw a few for Willem Botha too, but can't be sure if any of those are his).

Any lawyer or accountant who defends MTI needs to be reported to their professional bodies and thrown out. If he is indeed a lawyer, this bliksem needs to justify how he is involved in a company that openly flauts the law
By now, if you haven't made any attempt to take your money out and are still defending them, then you are 'n skelm.
I haven't seen a statement from their existing lawyers either. If they were advising MTI regarding the FSCA and if their advise was to break the law, then they have a case to answer.

Yeah same here...I mostly read them for a bit of entertainment.

It's hilarious how so many of them say that if you haven't invested with MTI then you cannot criticize them.
Well, OK then, unless you're a member of the ANC you can't criticize the party either.
It is genuinely a bit frightening how so many people are starting to spout absolute bs as this thing develops. What will happen when it starts to implode?
