The question posed by CIPC for the annual return is "turnover according to the latest annual financial statements".
Secondly, the annual financial statements in this case is required to be audited (because the company satisfies a bunch of requirements) and the auditor produces an audit report. The auditor is registered with the IRB and is obviously required to be independent. Having someone internal do an audit is totally meaningless and has squat to do with audited financial statements.

But their turnover is less than R1mil and they hold no assets of sufficient value to require audited accounts (because it's all crypto, and the CIPC just doesn't understand crypto).

I wonder what the impact would be if Bitcoin suddenly breaks to the downside and starts to tank.

I think most people "invested" know nothing about crypto. Also, most bought in recently (lets say between 10k & 12k).

All of a sudden their supposed $ value in the scrapoffice also starts to tank. (lots of these uneducated people only look at the $ value - I can see on some groups how people don't understand that the $ value sometimes goes down...)

You think that will make them withdraw? Especially the lemmings that only bought in recently - even better if they borrowed money or sold their property to go all in.

They should rather consult whomever coded the magical iOT toaster bot.
It's able to trade BTC that's in cold storage AND trades against one account but somehow trades at multiple brokers.

Some people actually believe that MTI has been granted THREE BILLION RANDS worth of liquidity to trade with so that they can hold the BTC in cold storage...

There's a video where Johann says the bitcoin is in cold storage with the broker, which would actually make sense for the broker to do if they held 17,000 BTC (or whatever it is now). Obviously it's spread across multiple addresses because otherwise we'd be able to find it with ease.

Very intersting thanks for posting, if you go back to the original report (The 2020 Geography of Cryptocurrency Report) you find this very blunt statement: " Next, we show the top scams receiving funds from Africa. SBlock led the way until October 2019, before MyMTIClub began growing to become the dominant scam in the region. Both SBlock and MyMTIClub defraud victims by claiming they can grow customers’ Bitcoin deposits through algorithmic trading."
No punches pulled there at all - they must have some very solid evidence to back this up...
