Missing bluetooth and sleep apnea

Weird but bluetooth on the missus' MB seems to have disappeared. I think its related to the machine constantly waking itself up from sleep. I've tried zapping the pram, trashing the prefs, and running applejack but nada.

Any ideas? My next step might be opening it up and physically disconnecting bluetooth.

Have you tried to repairing disk permissions (and then restart)? I had the exact same problem a year ago and I think that's how I got it back.

Actually, after some thought I believe I did this...

Turn machine off. Disconnect everything Including power supply. Remove battery> Press power button> Wait three minutes> Replace battery> Start computer. Bluetooth should be working again.

If you hardly ever restart the mac the disk permissions get screwed up and the bluetooth disappears. Fix the permissions and set the mac to restart ever 3'rd day in the power management options.

Or you can use an app called Macaroni which runs the repair permissions and the maintenance scripts periodically even if you put your mac to sleep at night.

First thing I did was restart and turn AppleJack on it (which, amongst other tasks, repairs permissions) and it didn't seem to help.

Yes. The problem is intermittent now.
