So i decided to make a thread for all those who are running MIUI on their Android device.

Post your Tips / Tricks and feedback with regards to the ROM here and i will update the first post with the information.

How To Create An App Drawer - Elimentals

Long press on the background till you get a screen that looks like below
Then just drag a folder widget onto the screen.

attachment.php

Once you have an icon named folder you can just click on it and it will open, on the top left you can select edit.

attachment.php

This will allow you to change the sort order also rename it example Menu or whatever you want.

attachment.php

Simply drag the Folder icon into your bottom tray

attachment.php

and you are ready to drag and drop apps from your screens into it

attachment.php

Then all you need to do is tap on it to get your new App menu, with all the applications you draged into it.

Does MIUI still come with an iPhone look?

I thought i saw it had a very different look and feel - some guy posted some screensots. Which made me want to try it out, but how the hell do you flash MIUI on the HTC desire. On XDA if you look at the first post for the rom, its really confusing what you need to do.

There are a few similarities to the iPhone. The toggle switches look the same as the iPhone and a few other things but with the number of themes available you can easily customize it to look how you want it to.

Yeah, not so keen on making my android device look like an iPhone.

Hows the performance and battery life?

What phone are running this rom on?

Preach !!

I needed to load Chameleon Rc2 to get the battery fix loaded, and I must say MIUI is one of the better ROM's out there (IMO)

No one said you have to make it look like an iphone ;)

The performance was great and my battery life has improved a lot since the last update.

There are plenty phones that support it, will post a complete list tonight.

Miui = best rom ever. And with the latest update it's even better. I've got it on my Galaxy S II

Loving MIUI on my desire. There's an iphone theme or 2 but otherwise it doesn't look a lot like an iphone. It's supercharged android under the hood so much better than iphone anyway... You flash it onto the desire basically the same way as any other rom. Once you have a recovery like alpharev/clockworkmod you just copy the zip on, boot into recovery, clear everything, flash the zip.

It does come with the Google Marketplace. It has the latest version of the Market (A much needed facelift) and all the downloads work correctly on my Galaxy S.

No need to partition your SD card in any particular way?

There is a power saving option for mobile data. With that on i can get 2 days easily from my Galaxy S.

Not bad. Sounds good.

I currently use oxygen, and i am keen to try MIUI out.

They should really make it easier to understand the requirements for flashing the rom. Information overload on the XDA thread

Do you have Clockwork Recovery on your phone already?

Yay! At last a dedicated MIUI thread! :) Been running it on my SGS now for a good 6 months... Coming from the days when the camera was barely working and it rebooted every second day. It's come a long way since... :p
