just put galnet's 2.10.21 on my sgs2. lets see if it fixes some of the issues i had:

battery was drooping a bit by the end of the day
loses signal if i had it charging for a while
couldn't get past angry birds level 2-3 :)

wow, titanium backup is the tits! busy restoring all my apps now. :) i have to just decide which apps can be restored with data and which ones not. some of them seem to freeze up titanium a little. luckily this is a super fast phone, so rebooting isn't a problem.

This is my 4th attempt at MIUI and it is by far the best ROM I've had on my phone. Unfortunately on my Galaxy S GT-I9000 I constantly get the Damaged SD card error that says you may have to reformat the card. I've tried many different miui roms, and different kernels and even different sd cards.

Has anybody figured out a solution to remove that error and get SD card working.

Other than that it is a no brainer on which ROM to keep but lack of SD support is a pretty big sacrifice.

First flash of MIUI. Didn't think it would go so smoothly, since I'm on a custom HBOOT (system partition). But it did.

I'm guessing I can format my sd card to FAT32, and remove the ext partition?

You can, but MIUI has build in AP2SD support if you moved your cache or app partitions.

Cant flash onto my Galaxy s2 - signature verification failed

Hi guys, been trying for a good few days to flash MIUI onto my samsung galaxy s2. I've rooted, installed ClockwordMod and tried a bunch of different downloaded roms but always get an error about "signature verification failed" when trying to install. Have found a bunch of ppl on the net with this problem but no one seem sto have posted a solution - not sure if its anything to do wit the firmware the local S2 is running??

Have you tried turning off signature verification?

Impressions so far

Embracing the lack of app drawer. So far so good.

The launcher doesn't support some Widgets, which is pushing me toward adw. E.g. USSDChecker. I think the default launcher has better performance though.

Very very smooth.

Its probably a good idea to change your system partition if you're running out of space for apps (HTC desire). I have 145 system with 20mb unused. I might shrink it further.

Don't like the default search app. And I can't seem to change it.

Proxy doesn't work well. But I use proxy Droid and that works brilliantly.

Copy paste tools don't have the magnification window which is quite useful when selecting text.

Theme integration is deep. Not just a skin.

Battery life is not significantly better. Might be the radio. Although I'm on miui.us

I am running a launcher on top of MIUI. Get the best of both worlds. You can install ADW launcher on MIUI ROM. It started when I just wanted to test MXHome. Its now my default launcher but I still get all the MIUI benefits like themes and menu's, oh an I love MXHome's app drawer

As seen in this quick vid demo

I'll make a better vid sometime later.

I have ADW ex (my default now for some time) , I'm just trying the miui philosophy before I write it off.

Will check out the video when I'm back on 3g. Damn you vodacom.

Been getting a lot of freezes when plugged into the usb. Especially during phone calls. Might just need to reflash.
