Agreed, but then with a ROM like this its expected.

One of my biggest wises is that they get a MIUI build for Honeycomb.

With regards to themes, most of them you download will be in a .mtz format. Simply copy them to sdcard/MIUI/theme and they will appear in the theme manager.
Alot of themes you download may also be in a .zip format. To apply these, copy them to sdcard/MIUI/theme, then using the built in file explorer or Astro file explorer or Estrongs file explorer, rename the extension of these themes to .mtz

Note that these themes will NOT appear in your themes manager. To apply them, you must navigate to it using the MIUI file explorer, and click on it. A window will popup asking if you want to apply the theme. This is the only way (according to my limited knowledge :) ) to apply these .zip themes. Perhaps someone knows a faster method?

I have not used one yet but I am sure if you just leave them on the SD say download folder and inside theme manager select menu, import theme, it will allow you to then select it?

I used to use MIUI XJ from the XDA Dev forum on my HTC Desire, but recently went back to Cyanogenmod (7.1 RC1). No particular reason, MIUI is great, I just prefer Cyanogenmod for some reason. I must say though, the theme manager on MIUI is amazing! Especially the lockscreen customisations!

I have both RC1 and RC2 of Galnet MIUI sitting on my desktop waiting to be flashed, but I tend to get nervous about flashing prior to doing so.

I've only flashed via odin in the past and I haven't seen a definitive guide for people coming from Darky's 10.2, which is what I'm on.

If I disable lagfix, put the .zip file on my sd card and flash through CWM recovery, will I end up with some botch job MIUI Darky rom hybrid? This is pretty puzzling to me.

Was hoping some of my fellow miui users could help me out with this odd problem.

For some obscure reason, the only browser that works on my phone is opera, mini and mobile. Any other browser just responds as if there is no data connection, gives me the "this webpage could not be loaded at this time" message. And it's the same wether I'm using 3G or wifi.

Any suggestions? I've googled and searched on the miui forums but couldn't find anything.

Nope it doesn't work for me like that I've tried it. Bear in mind I'm on galnet twooey2, it may work this way on newer versions.

Which version of MIUI are you running? The Galnet ones come with Maxthon (due to their sponsorship) and it really isn't bad once you get used to it...

Like The_Unnamed said the 1st day will be less as you need to retrain the battery. You can clear battery stats using Clockwork recovery mod if you have no luck after 3 full cycle charges. To do this, boot into recovery, go to [Advance] and select [Wipe Battery stats] Its best to do this at full charge.

Also

One of the biggest battery drains is the Radio vs interface files (RIL). MIUI as with any ROM you find online, will have a generic set, if you really want to get into tweaking your phone you can start flashing Radio's and the corresponding RIL's but this is also where the danger lies. Unlike simple ROM flashing you have a bigger chance to brick your phone when flashing the wrong radios.

If you post your Phone and where you got it we might be able to help you get the best set that pose the least amount of risk.

Example: my DHD From Vodacom, on plain MIUI only had about 1 day of charge and bad voice quality. I am now on Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2 and get about 2.5 days on a single charge, and voice + data is perfect.

The Plain Desire was easier as the generic European radio works like a charm for SA Phones: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1252942/desire_radio.zip from my dropbox 11 MB. (Only do this when you use the US or China MIUI roms, AU and EU roms have it in already)

ok im thinking of flashing radio going to read a bit more before hand , how will i know which one i got and if the one from Elimentals will be ok for my rom ?

Baseband 32.49.00.32u_5.11.05.27 im guessing that this is the radio
