ok im thinking of flashing radio going to read a bit more before hand , how will i know which one i got and if the one from Elimentals will be ok for my rom ?

Baseband 32.49.00.32u_5.11.05.27 im guessing that this is the radio

I guess that is the radio that came with the ROM and not the Baseband before you flashed? If you know someone that got their phone at the same place ie: Vodacom or MTN you can ask them what radio they have before they flashed.

How you can normally read it is
32.49.00.32u_5.11.05.27
|_PROTOCOL_|_RADIO V._|

Best Practice is to get a radio the closest to your stock radios.

Now get ready for Information Overload:

Go read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902752 to understand how the RIL works and what it does.

A full list of Radios can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464

The one I supplied in my link is 32.54.00.32U_5.14.05.17

how was it what was wrong with it ?

The Browser was not so great and it added 2 galleries (Not sure how to remove one of them) and it added the Samsung App store which didn't even work :-/.

So far MIUI.US is the best rom i have used.

I just flashed galnetMIUI on my galaxy S and I must say, so far its pretty impressive.

I definitely need a new theme though. The galnet one is not the prettiest I've ever seen.

A few hours into my Chameleon RC2 experience is the following:

Looks are pretty fantastic, once I find I theme I'm set on I think I'll be on MIUI for ages.
I miss having a dedicated menu, but using a folder as a makeshift one has appeased this need.
Applications have loaded smoothly, barring JuiceDefender, which seems to be causing my mobile data to switch off erratically.

All in all I must say that its been a nice change from DarkyRom, especially in terms of customisation.

Just a warning to those that do this weeks update.

When you update, they brought back the Setup wizard and you wont be able to use your device till you completed it. Don't worry you wont lose any data or settings, well except for account settings like Gmail that has to be entered again.

The firewall function regarding applications is amazing. Ad free angry birds is fantastic.

I am finding app load times much shorter than Darky rom too.

Sent from my GT-I9000 using MyBroadband Android App

Not on the MIUI UK update.
The US one has it.

Wireless is giving me problems though. If you reboot, wifi refuses to connect. You have to fiddle with the Wifi Sleep policy in advanced settings to get it to connect again.
Had this issue with the UK 1.9.2 version. I'm trying the US 1.9.2 version now, and I initially had a hassle getting Wifi to connect.

After rebooting the US version, the wifi didn't connect, but a simple touch of the toggle to switch it off and on again, and it reconnected. Looks like the major issue with wireless is just on the UK version (so far).

Personally I'm still on my original, stock, radio. It works fine with MIUI in my opinion.

Ok this is interesting, my Gameloft games gets sms's I guess its part of the validaion checks, never knew that. MIUI security pormpts me everytime they come in and the game want to intercept them. Stock never did that. I LIKE the extra security :)

Miui = best rom ever. And with the latest update it's even better. I've got it on my Galaxy S II

I don't see an SGS2 download on the MIUI site, only SGS - how does one obtain the SGS2 ROM?

Much appreciated, thank you. Is the Beta stable enough to use on a primary handset?

It does come with the Google Marketplace. It has the latest version of the Market (A much needed facelift) and all the downloads work correctly on my Galaxy S.

Just to confirm, apps from the Marketplace will work on MIUI? Rooting this week and MIUI looks the best fit for my Desire.
