They should do away with the concept to be honest. Rather just strip a title off a champion if he is inactive for a certain period of time with an immediate title fight clause should it be due to an injury.

Tom would be legitimate champ right now and this fight would be way better.

Seeing Jon beat an inactive 42 year Stipe who last fought in 2021.. Yeah ok. This should be Tom vs Jon.
We all know this, the problem is that there's only one knob's opinion that matters.

on a side note... two old fogies going at it... im more psyched for the co-main

should be another banger between charles do bronx and iron mike chandler...

i think charles takes it tho by RNC, when exactly is anyones guess

To think Chandler has wasted 2 years of his fighting career waiting for Mcstuffins...

more than that, hes still hopeful... warradoos...

have you seen his most recent interviews... he doesnt even criticize Connor for the bullshit he put him thru...

Then he nogal talks about his timeline... Beat Charles = title fight. Beat Islam after he beats Arman. then fight max for the BMF

You think it will be a fight ?

I don't think it will be competitive at all. Ill be shocked if this fight goes the distance, even more so if it goes Mikes way.

As with any chandler fight there will be fireworks early, so round 1 and maybe 1st half of 2 (if it gets there) will be fun.

But chandler is overrated and too reliant on his raw power. holes always show and thats when charles will get that back, hooks in and then its tap or nap... most likely tap

You'd think he would have learned by now... Still hoping for that massive payday. Probably could have made that money if he fought 2 or 3 times the last 2 years.

If he loses to Charles which is most likely to happen, he does not have much going for him and he will be 2 of 6 in his UFC career.

Lightweight is pretty tied up right now. Islam and Arman will be next and after that I would not be surprised if UFC throws Max, Dan or Paddy into the title fight scene.

and of those two wins... Dan hooker... journeyman

and guess who... the kinda guy.... who was on a 3 fight losing streak at the time

Jon is such a hypocrite though. He fought older guys throughout and now he doesn't want a younger Tom? When he wins and removes his gloves, I want Tom to enter the octagon and just say quack into the mic before asking Dana to take the belt off Jon and put it on his waist :p He will never be in my goat list because of the PEDs.

I do hope that Chandler does come in with a gameplan because he's just tried to 'be exciting' in the opening rounds and is just too careless which is why he's been out classed against real competition. Charles is vulnerable to strikes and he had Charles hurt and gassed out trying to get a finish so he needs to be smarter as his fight IQ always lets him down.

He should, but it is not going to happen.

I don't know why anybody would get exited for that fight. He knows he can outwrestle Alex and for him that means he's still the king of both divisions when he retires. Dana probably wants that as well because it doesn't stain Alex's reputation losing to the 'goat' and when Alex drops the belt to Ankalaev then he moves up to fight Tom and it's still a banger fight to sell.

Don't really follow MMA, but will watch a Dricus fight - anyone know when is he fighting again?

Saw a black dude fight in the middleweight division (this is Dricus' division I think) and he looked badass. Zero losses.
