I have had nothing but problems with MMS across all 3 cell networks this week.
Vodacom: A brand new pre-paid SIM cannot be set up to receive MMS. The call centre is incapable of helping me, and has referred this to a "technician". How can a simple process be so difficult? And yes, the phone the SIM is in can receive MMS with my old SIM (the OLD sim is over 2 years old).
MTN: Seems their MMS system is broken - no estimated time to repair.
CellC: CellC to CellC works when sending an MMS, Vodacom to CellC and the MMS never arrives - no idea why. For the record, CellC setup is by far the easiest, a couple of SMS messages and it is done - none of this having to call a "help" centre nonsense.
Add to that, that I had to phone Vodacom "help" desk 4 times yesterday before someone managed to answer the phone without cutting me off. Phoning after 6pm last night was a waste - 20 minutes and I gave up.
MTN: 10 minutes to not help me this morning (most of the time was spent by the operator trying to work out what was going on)
Have not the patience to call CellC at the moment
