I see what you are saying and to a large extent that is perfectly correct.

Here is where it falls down, If I, a white male, was to say the EXACT same thing, meaning it in the EXACT same way, it would most definitely be regarded as racism. Any defence that I might mount would be torn to shreds.
The implication is that the race of the declarer determines the meaning of a declaration, and THAT is racist too.
A further implication is that white people are incapable of not being racist. This is patently absurd.
Far better we avoid these sort of comparisons entirely.

Context and intent are important. I think in this context it's both racist and dehumanising, but remember when our esteemed CIC was called a monkey?
