What does that mean?

The DA may have done well in delivering services to urban areas in the WC but they are still failing to come to terms with how to deal with the poor. It's probably too complex a problem but if they ever hope to rule the country they need to find a way to solve that problem.
The trouble with providing services as an opposition party is that you rely too heavily on national government for budget and other essentials.

I wonder what he will do next in his career. Being a politician is a job for those who can't do a real job.

Just wait for the DA to fall in CT.

Their municipality jacked up property rates between 50% and 300% without consultation or recourse to effectively appeal in the last financial year. This has irked property owners who keep on receiving higher property rates and lower service levels. It seems the more you pay, the less you get with the DA.

Vagrants litter the city's streets with junk, needles and pi$$ and poo in every nook and cranny.

Sadly CT has become another limp wristed liberal Seattle, San Francisco style poo hole.

I'm voting FF+ in next Municipal elections and so are many in my hood according to angry whisperings we have shared.
Don't worry, you and your fellow Capetonians are going to be spoilt rotten by the DA from now on, they might not care about losing Tshwane or JHB but CT is going nowhere.

Well, it has been the same in Joburg, they valued my house at double the market value, so now I have to pay double rates.

Appeals will supposedly take years to process.

There is currently a well planned campaign underway to vilify Zille and the direction of the DA
Probably funded by the same people that fund Daily-Maverick -- a place that PRETENDS to be "free-fair-and open" it IS a wolf in sheep's clothing. Like so much else in the SA World of MSM

James Selfe resigned his POSITION in the DA -- NOT from the party !
He will be heading up the DA Governance Unit

" Ultimately as a stalwart of this organization, James remains in our party, will head up the governance unit, and will step down as chair of Fedex in October at that next federal council."

"James has done incredible work and an honourable one for our organisation and the fortunes of the DA going into 2021."

DA announce James Selfe to head governance unit

He'll go back to whatever he was doing before politics. He's a good orator so, any church would do well with him on board.:)

Back to preaching? Although one guy on Twitter mentioned that he should come to the ACDP which the ACDP subsequently retweeted.

Mixing religion with politics - can't think of a worse idea. Yep, I think that's the best case scenario for him.

It's fascinating watching certain esteemed journalists and twitterati summarising this whole thing down to skin pigmentation and, off course, the lack of agency of those who have high concentrations of melanin. That narrative worked wonders for the DA, as we saw the elections results come in.

"There has been, for several months, a consistent and co-ordinated attempt to undermine my leadership and ensure that either this project failed, or I failed."

"We have come to the conclusion that despite my best efforts, the DA is not the vehicle best suited to take forward the vision of building one South Africa for all."

~ Maimane

Always somebody else's fault. You can't help but mutter "good riddance" to yourself.

Many political parties have "Christian values/ethos" in their manifestos.

...and constitutions. Austria seems to be doing ok and they have a thing called "church tax".

People can blame religion all they want, but take it away and they'll fight about something else. Blame people, they are scum.

I'm not blaming religion at all (though personally, I'd never vote for parties like ACDP). Just pointing out what Roux may have missed when he made that comment.

Makes sense, but that is an even more of a job for those who can't do a real job.
Seems like you are too worried about Mmusi, he'll be fine, The Madam was fine before she came back and so is Tony Leon. Our Boy will be fine.

Of course , he still collects his MP salary;)

Why did he not resign from the DA if he is convinced that the DA is not the party to take "the project" forward?

Or he can be a businessman and get tenders from DA governed municipalities just like Tony.
