I would love to see Steenhuisen rise to the top. Every single speech of his that I have watched has been great.

The question arises is whether the DA now leans hard into non-racialism and makes a white person the face of the party (very risky considering their perception amongst the average joe), or if they backpedal and go for someone less known but the right skin colour (I'm not super clued up on the DA but as far as I can tell their major African/black/not white people seem to have left except for Van Damme and Solly).

It would be interesting to see Steenhuisen at the top. But remember that majority of his epic speeches were directed at Zuma.

I rate CR will also make him look pretty politically immature and bad.

He was going around before the last election shîtting on everything Afrikaans and on the VF+ 'slaan terug' slogan. I think he did more damage especially in Pretoria than Mmusi could ever do.

He had some good speeches in parliament before but this just shows he is nothing but a puppet.

The DA need someone with some principles.

Anyone who still takes the ANC seriously deserves whatever they get.
You seem to underestimate the power of misinformation. The amount of rubbish peddled on social media and absorbed as truth.

One of the key ingredients to being a successful political party is ability to blend fact and fiction. ANC is skilled to some extend in that regard. NP also excelled. DA not so much.

Fool me once, and all that... Anyone still falling for any ANC empty promise is lost, and by that I include not only stupid poor people but many new dawners on the forum as well.

And I cannot support BSing people as a successful political strategy.

I'm sad to admit I know a DA donor who voted for Cyril on the national ballot.

fukk RIGHT off. Parks and his band of pirates were looting the place dry and delivering NOTHING but masturbation projects.

NEWSFLASH ... Remove the blinkers idiot! The DA is quickly descending into the same corrupt whole, they just didn't have the scale of cash the ANC has to be corrupt with... The national purse! Give the DA the country to run - they will be equally corrupt! All parties and politicians are corrupt, you just prefer DA corruption because it is backed by whiteness...

I'm sad to admit that although SA needs a strong opposition, the person who ended up destroying that particular dream has managed to wangle things in such a way as to be still in charge.

His problem. There is no party in South Africa where a politician can serve citizens better with respect to what is really needed. Honest leadership, accountability, results.
Would Herman Mashaba have been able to fight corruption in Joburg if he was a member of the ANC for instance? The EFF? No. Patronage. Corruption. Omerta. VBS. NKandla. Eskom. Guptas. Etc.. Etc...

I hear irregular expenditure has risen from a R50bn to R61bn this year during the new dawn of the ANC. Meantime it's still raining clean audits in DA land.

Exactly what corruption has the DA been involved in?

And if you're talking about Mmusi's car - he gave that back once it came to light that the donation was tainted.

Yeah it reminds me all those right wingers who fell for that picture of that little girl with a slap mark on her face in regards to that Spur incident. Oom Jannie was going ballistic.

Meanwhile that image was a child from America nowhere near any Spur

Yes, agreed, I'm not even a DA fan. He might be well-spoken but CR is going to intellectually demolish him as was done to Maimane.

They need to either go with Winde or Madikizela. Those are really the only two options that should be considered.

Huh? The spur incident was two idiots fighting and Spur only banning the white one.

I'm not sure what fake news you talk of.
