Mmusi has left the DA a long time ago, and only now made it official. Next to CR he has to be the most missing in action leader ever.

So according to the stats Tony Leon got 4.9% of the black vote in the 2000 local government elections, a feat he could not reproduce in the 2004 elections and also in the 2006 local government elections, the Madam came in and was unable to match Tony's record over three elections despite the DA's growth over those elections.

Mmusi came in and was the first leader of the DA not only to match Tony's record but broke it with 5.9% of the black vote?

I also note that the highest numbers of the black vote are on all occasions during the local government elections.

In summary and comparing like for like, Mmusi got the highest percentage of black votes in local elections beating both Zille and Tony, agreed?

Despite the declining total vote Mmusi still got the highest percentage of the black vote ever recorded by the DA in a national election, agreed?

If Mmusi hadn't increase the black vote and beat Tony I would have been surprised.
I mean the black population had become disillusioned with the ANC by then and after all he was blek.

I am still suprised that Tony got more black votes than Zille in an election, I am still not sure if the authors of the document got the numbers right.

Mostly the vocal minority.

A vocal minority within a majority is all you need for instilling public opinion or perception and ultimately public interest. It is a game of social warfare, and the majority may freely practice and exercise their right to freedom and expression.

I don't know if racial stats are available for voter patterns. This 2004 article suggests 2% black voters supported Tony.

"Having garnered only about 2% of black voters in April, Leon said: "In this way the DA will become a more diverse party without sacrificing anything that we do for our voters in other communities."

“We grew our support among black South Africans from 0.8 percent in 2009 to approximately six percent in 2014,” party leader Helen Zille told reporters at the Electoral Commission of SA's (IEC) national results operations centre in Pretoria. "
I think that's everyone massaging their own figures. 35.2% of politicians would do that. The remaining 68.69% would just outright lie

It will be good to know source of stats unless that article itself is the original source. In the latter case, we have to believe Tony leon, don't we now?

I am also surprised at Mmusi choices for those heading the review panel Ryan Coetzee and Tony Leon?

In 1997 Coetzee was picked by DP leader Tony Leon to head up the party's parliamentary operations at the age of 24. Leon subsequently noted Coetzee's appointment as "the most significant" he made during his 13-year tenure as leader of the party.[5] From 1999, Coetzee was the party's chief strategist, playing a central role in the party's election campaigns,[6] which saw the DA grow from 1.7% in 1994 to 24.2% in the 2011 local government elections.

The irony is that Zille is probably the single biggest reason the DA did so bad with the black voters with her colonialism tweet and MM essentially not removing her from her office made him look like Zille's lapdog

Lol what? You are probably white and you think all black people are too stupid to realise that SA is a shîthole and can be better.

Because that was Zille's colonisation tweet, that Singapore had colonisation and they got on with it. They're no longer blaming Jan for all their problems.

Black Twitter wanted blood for the tweet and if MM delivered Zille's scalp, the black elites who make up black Twitter would of been singing his praises.

Rather odd snap response there.

He's actually right on the ball there, I don't have a clue what his race has to do with it. Zille's tweet, and similar events that followed made people of colour do a double take on the DA.
And showed that Mmusi was not actually in control of the party.

I don't know how many times people have to say it, but that so many of you don't recognise the damage of the tweet saga actually explains everything

Black twitter is a communist EFF mob. They are never going to vote for the DA.

You are wrong. People are tiered of all the BS. All people.
And Zille's tweets is spot on. Only libtards gets offended by it, because they are hyper sensitive on behalf of "oppresses" black people

The fact that it caused damage is actually the bit that is extremely disconcerting.
