So DA wants to give us another leader without grade 12? The whole organization is gonna be led by a high school dropout?

Here I was thinking that a lot was learned from Zuma appointment

So only a grade 12 makes you a good leader who's honest?

Bit of an intellectual snob are you?

These days a university degree is not a strong marker of intelligence, especially in the Humanities where you can basically party for three years and still get a degree.

I thought Steenhuisen passed grade 12? Anyway, you should know how things work by now, never go looking for such things in non AA candidates.

Steenhuisen has his work cut out.
In my opinion, Steenhuizen is no different from Maimane. They're better suited to local government politics. DA needs more than Zille and Steenhuizen to re-establish the party.

I agree, while making good arguments in parliament is a good thing elections are not won inside parliament.

I’m not an intellectual snob. I just want consistency. If Malemas matric results were a problem then I don’t get why Steinhuissen should be exempt.

If Zuma and Malema education never bothered you then I would believe and respect your principles

There are highly educated members in the ANC that are corrupt to the core.
So the solution is to bring a high school drop out to sort out these corrupt graduates?

Either education is important or it’s not. You can’t flip flop based on who you support otherwise you aren’t different from people who believed Zuma was gonna do better than a qualified economist

This place is full of hypocrites, you should have seen the comments when the EFF gang were busy getting their degrees, all of a sudden a non Engineering degree was a worthless thing not worthy of a mention.

Yep. Funny how Zuma and Malema were routinely hauled over the coals for their poor education. If it was just about corruption it would have never come up. But it was always primary school this, woodwork that.

But comrade Steenhuisen with his matric gets the benefit of the doubt.

The education issue only comes into when play as a reason for incompetence and corruption.

Action speaks louder than words.

No use bringing in an economics PhD who no one knows and can't relate to anyone. Steenhuisen knows the inner workings and has important contacts.
From this point they can start grooming a competent future leader with good credentials.

Who is they? Who has these great leadership skills that is currently transferring to Steenhuisen?

And contacts? You need contacts to be a good leader? Isn’t that how capture starts?
