Stupid commentators on ETV are saying that this ends a non-racial DA and it will become a white only party now. And the DA will only care about winning the Western Cape and not care about the rest of the country.

So apparently all black people are going to leave the DA. Where they going to go? Are they so triggered by non racial policies that they would rather vote for the staggeringly corrupt and incompetent ANC or for the shithole socialism of the EFF. Perhaps not vote at all.....

DA needs to figure out what they want to do.. if chasing National Gov position the FF+ votes ain’t gonna cut it.. they need non-white voters to support them.

A choice between being a party of principle or a party of power.

I don't necessarily agree with them but how do you see the DA growing beyond the WC looking and the current developments? I am failing to see the strategy going forward.

Lest people forget, It was the Madam who promoted Maimane, Lindiwe and Mbali Ntuli. I think we all understand what was the plan, the DA wanted growth, they have already reached the ceiling in their traditional voter base, growth was going to come from the black populace, hence the new, vibrant young faces of the DA. That project worked very well for Zille, she was accompanied everywhere by the new faces of the new DA and people were slowly changing their perceptions of the DA.

Now since all that has been abandoned what is the plan of growing the party?

Resigns on the day of ward elections. Amazing insight from our esteemed DA "leaders"
I don't know if you are genuinely shocked or not.

This whole thing is an exercise in playground personality clashes with ****all thought for the voters or supporters or the country. **** the lot of em. Not one ounce of character or moral fibre in the whole lot combined. Pathetic display of childish tantrums from so-called political leaders. Leaders my hairy arse.

More resignations on the cards in the next few days... Weeks, the so-called black caucus may actually walk out entirely... Athol has balls, Mmusi has balls, Herman has balls... The DA will lose all the gains just to have Zille back, Zille who embraced colonialism and worked with the racist IRR...

I don't believe it for a second. If they did they would have stood up to this racist dinosaur making a comeback. Having balls denotes a strength of will to not pick up your toys and run away.

Exactly! They who voted for this dinosaur need the fleas of a 1,000 disease infested camels to breed in their orifices! Wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see a new party develop as a breakaway from the DA. What they will be left with is colonialism.

Did you read her tweet and take the time to read her published article explaining what she tried to say about colonialism in 140 characters? If not, please do so. Journalism in this country has gone beyond sensational and you really shouldn't simply consume whatever they're feeding you without going to the effort of obtaining at least some of the facts yourself and then drawing your own conclusions.

There was no point because the old guard brings in all the money, the traditional DA donor wanted Mmusi out. A party with no funding dies..

So what are your predictions? I foresee Madikizela being elected as the new leader, in line with keeping the DA firmly in the WC and also since he was overlooked for the position of the WC premier.
