Yea it has been postponed... and i agree with Richard Brandson`s ranting and raving about it. It is not in the best interest of our networks, thus they are dragging their feet with it!

Credit card number portability

I am tied into my credit card provider against my wishes and would dearly love to switch to another bank, clearing house and international network.

Unfortunately, my credit card number is on record with a lot of institutions I transact with and it will be a nightmare and great inconvenience to change it.

I challenge the financial institutions, including Virgin Money and the great Sir Richard, to facilitate credit card number portability (CCNP) within "the 4 weeks these things can easily be completed in".

Or even 9 months for that matter.
