Mobile networks silent on Orange entry into SA

I’d be very surprised if they do well and not call it quits in a few years.
 
They will just buy MTN outright.

Take control of MTN and then get Cell C as well (since Cell C is 80% MTN infrastructure wise)
 
But weren't they here a while back? Then just disappeared?
 
They were I seem to remember you could get cheaper phones through them
 
Would be great if they could buy Cell C and have a good 5G offer. I hope it can happen before the spectrum auction as any more spectrum would be wasted on Vodacom.

Trust them, I do not. The little I know of Orange in this country is poor. Ruthless. I'll stay where I am. Indefinitely.

Nope I worked at MTN and still have contacts there. Cell C wishes they had access to an MTN network. I doubt the competition commission will allow such a huge foreign buyout. It will be very bad to let that money flow into a foreign country.

Cell C signs roaming agreement with MTN, boosting its network

Struggling Cell C yesterday said it had finally signed an expanded roaming agreement with MTN to boost its network.
