Mobile phone towers a threat to bees

Interesting.

So bee farms should be in the middle of nowhere with no cellphone towers, and only fixed landlines...

Our new office is basically next to a mobile phone tower: Will give feedback on potential health problems :D

Thats very interesting. Takes me back to the BEE Movie which Jerry Seinfield made.
If the BEE's arent going on strike, their navigation is being jammed by us Humans :)

Like I've said before, we had a MTN transmitter on a church steeple, and there was a bees nest that had to be cleared out. :D

Try holding a small fluorescent bulb close to it, preferably late at night...
Let us know if it glows?

In our current office, there are two towers directly attached to either side of the building... and still we have problems with Vodacom...

Hi Damian24

We also often drop calls now, and I have never experienced so many 'network unavailable' messages :( Tower congestion I am sure...

Stop the joking this is serious, who will do the pollinating in future?

This is a real concern. Too many do not seriously heed the scientists calls regarding global warming. I for one sincerely hope they're wrong but I am in the short term insurance industry and the weather related losses are getting worse even here in sunny SA. :(

Cellular reception is worst right next to an antenna. This is because antennae are designed to radiate outward.

Skeptics say that there isn't any evidence that there is any danger. Others say that there hasn't been enough time to gather data and perform research. At the end of the day, if cellphones pose a significant threat to your health, WiFi and DSTV are even worse. Not to mention cordless phones, etc.

We have a very definite understanding of the way that electromagnetic waves propagate and interact with matter. Limited to particular frequencies and power levels, we can be sure that we're minimising the harm done.
