modem/connection problem - anyone have this?

on vodacom 3g........ after a while, i can see the small terminal window thing showing the connection in the bottom corner on the task bar go totally dead. so its no longer highlights for send/receive in light blue.

So i try a site or whatever and it doesnt open and i have to then disconnect/reconnect then it works fine again for a while.

This used to even happen on my telkom dialup line but it hasnt done it in ages. Now is this a vodacom 3g fault or is there some setting i should change in modem settings or even on my phone?

I have had the same problem during peak hours, night its fine.
Problem times for me is around 2-3PM and 5-8PM

You still lucky, the other night i could not connect to any of the APN's. Since then every now and then i can not connect at all.

Sounds like loss of downlink? Open dashboard & check whether there is outgoing traffic every now & then with no incoming traffic. This happens to me quite frequently. Have to disconnect, shut down dashboard, fire it up again and then reconnect to fix. I'm also waiting for a solution to this problem.
