I have the same issue and it's driving me mad. You can however avoid having to unplug and plugging it in again by just ejecting the virtual "Cell C" CD-drive in My Computer.

It's a bug in the new Cell C dashboard, the old dash didn't have this issue. I would revert to the old dashboard if I knew how (I actually have access to a ZTE MF190 with the old dashboard), but I have no idea how to do it.

Cell C should have addressed this issue months ago.

If it is a bug in a dashboard, perhaps it is locking drivers. Even with this bug drivers should be released after 90 second. So you need wait a such time before plugging modem back. You don't need to restart computer. Or even better - unload dashboard (or MDMA) from memory before unplugging modem, it works faster.

Use another dashboard (Huawei/8ta/Vodacom) All it needs is APN to "internet" and dial up as *99#.

Failing that, you'll have to use it with a 3G router which will take control of it for you. That was my solution, and it is always connected

Guys, I Normally switch my computer off when I don't use it.

My modem don't work after I switch machine back on again. Then I have to unplug modem and re-plug it again. Then it works.

@Viva, thanks will try that.

Do you still see a modem LED when computer is off? On some computers LED doesn't go off, but power is not sufficient for the modem, it is hanging. It stays hanging when you power on computer again. There is a settings in the BIOS to remove power from USB ports when power if off.
If modem LED goes off, there is other possibility. Look at the boot options and remove booting from CD-ROM, or remove USB legacy support.
