Yes great logic, lets ban everything that kills people, including living itself. How old are you?
Yes, because neeevvver eeever in a million years, in the history of mankind have we ever banned anything because it was dangerous and killed people. It must kill you inside that when you ask for yellow cake at the spar you get Twinkies and not enriched uranium.

You can ban rotties and Doberman as well. I like those dogs ****all as well. At least for those two a case can be made. If you educate yourself in how to be a responsible dog owner and train and exercise and don't abuse them you should be OK.

Rottweiler and Doberman require seasoned dog owners who really know how to train dogs well. They are not meant for 1st time dog owners. They are not an easy breed to handle and train. Too many people get them without fully understanding what it takes to raise one. That is when the trouble begins with them.

A pitbull can murder at any moment. Anything can trigger it and not the best dog owners in the world can stop them from killing when some random stressors triggers there latent homicidal urges.

Any dog can bite a person. Trough neglect and abuse any dog is capable of doing it but no dog breed has so regularly been proven violent to the extreme as a pitbull. Two thirds of dog fatalities come from pit bulls for a reason.
and yet Dobermans don't even make that stat I posted. Dobermans are the best dogs ever, they look resident evil scary but they're not.

Clearly you're not a dog person or ever owned these dogs.

I've had, pit bulls, rotties, dobermans, staffies, jack russell's, boerbulls, and a cocker spaniel. Guess which one was the most trouble? Never been to training either.

I'd be ok with that. I'm 33. Don't know what my age has to do with anything? I thought we were discussing killer dogs and the morons who own them.
Just wondered because of the youthful innocence/ignorance in your post.

I expected maybe early 20s.

People have to be protected from their own stupidity and arrogance. I mean why not allow everyone to kill anyone because if you can't protect yourself then you would not be alive. I mean why stop at dogs?

German shepherds scare me the most.

Okay for work dogs, but definitely not a pet I would ever keep.
I had one growing up and would agree with you. Not a wise choice of pet for a family.

Great for law enforcement though.

Now if only regular Joes would realize that and choose better.

No. That's the only real and valid reason anyone has for doing anything or owning anything. Because they want to, and should then be free to do it.

You need a really good reason if you want to suggest we limit what any person is allowed to do.

And our laws are already more than sufficient to cover damages to 3rd parties.

Our laws can bring the dead 3rd parties back? Of course not, that is why some things need to preventative laws

It would be a complete failing of society if we allowed less things in people houses that murdered children. Really I'm the ignorant one for championing a toddlers right not to have it face melted of like the scene from raiders of the lost ark.

Clearly, I'm the one with the problem. Not pit bulls they are fine.

Most people just don't understand dogs, period, and don't teach rules, boundaries and limitations. That's not the dogs fault.

Do you think this guy has a problem with his dogs?

1. That's an ever expanding downward spirals to the point where we can't do anything or have nice stuff.
2. Because we still wish to maintain some form of society.

The facts here are simple.

A mother and father have to come home to an empty home, that once had two beautiful children and two dogs. That thought alone just makes me empathize with them. They should have not owned the dogs in the first place. However, teaching children boundaries for dangerous animals is just not an option. Have you ever been around a toddler, never mind two? A better option would be that they did not own these dogs in the first place. I am not against people owning the breed, but people should be aware of the dangers involved. This happens far too much.

Why stop at dogs? If people cannot use common sense, let's start by banning alcohol too. Alcohol has a massive detrimental impact on society that is very largely ignored.

Off course it was the lack of boundaries that led to the toddler getting its throat ripped out. Teach your kids how to hit 4s and 6s or the pitbull will have there throats for lunch.
