Before his departure to the UK as a Kolpak player... :crying:

Jaques Rudolph was also Kolpak, how did he manage to play for SA?, I don't understand this whole kolpak crap. He is still South African, he has represented South Africa, why cant he play for SA?, like 40% of our rugby players are based over seas.

Colin Ingram's departure is a big loss to South African cricket. I hope he achieves new highs in the next chapter of his career in the UK.

He can according to this ESPN article
Initially, the ECB said that no Kolpak player could have represented his own country in the previous 12 months, but that was found to be unenforcable when Yorkshire signed Jacques Rudolph early in 2007.

He can only play for SA after his 3 year contract has expired.

And if he decides to leave after a year?, what stops him from playing for SA?, Fck ECB and their rules.
Several issues, all legal. He would have been warned and been made aware of the Kolpak contract conditions. If he left he would be in breach of contract and he would be hauled before a court. The ICC could also step in and prevent him from playing (ever).

Chris Morris getting a pasting up front. Didn't quite deliver when sent up the order either. Ship has sailed past for him in my opinon.

Have to agree with that. Chris was promising but hasn't quite delivered on his potential. Too many youngsters ahead of him now imho.

Little harsh i would say?, remember he is a allrounder. Yes we have better bowlers and we have better batsman, We have very few you can bowl and bat as good as he can.
Mclaren, Wiese, Morris and Morkel being our best.

He is a bits and pieces player. Being up there with mclaren, wiese and an over the hill albie is hardly an achievement. I would rather pick a specialist if we don't have a pollock/klusenar,ect Worked fine for the aussie teams that won the world cup.

1. Good century under pressure by Elgar.
2. Wiese throwing the willow to great effect.
3. Pathetic finishing by Dolphins bowlers!
4. Ryan McLaren injured again? :(

I have not seen the outcome of the game but cannot believe the Titans could lost it. Dolphins looked flat. Titans looked hungry for success.

Is it me or are people ignoring the best seamer-bowling allrounder to be produced in the country for a very long time?
