Hi all and noone,

I won't repeat the problem I have been having with telsh1t, all I will say is there limit R2000 - modem R1500 2 months rental 1900 + ISP X 2 +-400 invoice due date 15 April but i am cut off for being over the limit. Same old same old.

One thing that works with most companies is when you let them know how much money they are gonna lose soon.
I assume a lot of us are pretty influential in the IT infrastructure of the respective companies.
Why don't we see how much telkom is expected to lose in revenue when the SNO comes in.

I have direct control over R60 000 spend per month on a mixture of leased lines and ISDN PRI rate phones. I also have a spend of R1000 pm @ home
As has been said before in the forum I will be moving on principle as these woohoos reckon they can just go around p**sing people off with there pathetic excuse for service with impunity. I have news for them and there shareholders, money walks away from sh*tty service very quickly. We as SA citizens are known for not complaining but I think we don't bother to complain we just spend our money elsewhere. I will and do complain but it seems pretty fruitless with these #$%@#!@!#@!@!

Lets do some maths and show helkom what they are destined to lose!

By the way I have the monopoly.com tshirt and wear it as often as possible.

Cheers

Most people like me do the "let your feet do the talking" thing.
Like when you go to a restaurant and get poor food or service. I for one normally just pay the bill and say to myself, "I wont go their again".
Sometimes this is the least stressful thing to do. Why worry about one restaurants poor food or service when many others are better.
The problem with this theory when it comes to Telkom is. We have nowhere else to go to. So if we want a phone or ADSL connection we have to accept Telkoms offerings, however poor or inefficient they might be. But the one thing that gets me the most is the whole country is suffering as a result. Plus the spin-off for the rest of Southern Africa.
How can one ever measure the losses of massive online markets that one day will be the future? How many years more, will South Africa be behind the rest of the world? How many young students will miss the digital boat? The cost to the country is immeasurable.
The state is to blame for holding onto its share and not throwing it open to market forces. They have had many years now to get the ball rolling. But alas they have failed the SA Public. The Minister and the President need to be made personally accountable for blundering with our Assets. They had no right or did they ever ask the SA public for permission through a referendum or other means what the SA Public required as far as Telecommunications and Telkom. They just saw the big cash cow of Telkom and the billions of Rand in dividends and taxes piling up.

We need qualified business people running this country. As the present bunch have forgotten what they were charged to do. They are supposed to be simply administrators of the countries needs and services. Politics and Politicians have become this countries worst enemy. They have cost this country countless billions. The old and new regimes are equally to blame.

Hi BTTB,

I agree with your comments yet I still feel compelled to let telkom know how powerful this "small group of disgruntled users" really is.
I think we may all be surprised by the spending power of myadsl/mybroadband.

At least R300000 per month! That is conservatively spoken! Can be three to four times more... RPM should have more info...
