New research suggests evidence of the global 'great resignation' trend is emerging in South Africa as overworked employees are quitting their jobs.

I know of some who quit but mainly to go to a better job. My brother started a new job last week after being overworked by the crappy consultancy he worked for. A few others I know of who resigned to emigrate. The majority are people with something else lined up though. Rare these days for a rage quit in this country.

I'd go to America if I quit my job and went overseas. I wouldn't goto New Zealand like most do, or Australia.

But ja, if your job affects your health, leave. That's what I did.

Got the matric, but no degree.

Been unemployed for three months now - it's becoming a reality that I'll only find employment outside SA borders.

I'm not running away from my home country, but nobody here wants to employ me
