I can finally join here too. I'm very happy to have moved the gas braai to the wendy house...
Christening the new one on Saturday with lamb chops and boerie. Don't judge - it was only grid I had..

Bought a grid and grid stands on Sunday and had to try again, this time with boerie, beef sosaties and chicken wings (you have to have your vegetables too)

I hate those braai-grids ... I cant see how anyone that ever braai'd in their life could design a grid like that :X3:

Checkers has better steaks than my local butcher. Other meats is appalling, but their steaks are great. It is greatly dependent on the specific store, though, I've found.

Got a call from the butchery rep at Checkers HO this morning, Cattleman is C-grade meat, Steakhouse and the regular butchery meat are all A-grade.

Well, the steaks I had was fantastic. Like, outstanding, over what I've been used to from Checkers to date.

The last time I purchased meat from Checkers I landed up witch a cracked tooth and a root canal - crown is being done in January

Won't be happening again....
