So Tomorrow, The Sabbath, my little town gets to have an Eskom induced planned power outage, initially the citizens were enraged, but being in the know I explained to the country folk that a mere two weeks ago I had the opportunity to drive past a 61 Tower Wind Farm just east of Springbok in remote Namaqualand, Eskom were busy finalizing their substation on the opposite side of the road.

So tomorrow is the big day when those towers are introduced into the Eskom mix.....

Why am I telling you braai okes all this trivia..... Well my town is the only town in Namibia that has it's own power line from the Northern Cape and on a solid contract since 1979 with Eskom....so we are affected...

Now I have a Generator that can power my house tomorrow...... But the English HO has decreed, we all get up early in the morning , drive 270km north to the remote Namibianhamlet of Aus, to see the Wild Horses of the Namib , lunch at Klein Aus Vista and then drive home...... A round trip of 540km to see some skinny beasts not even worth braaing.....

So if I be silent on the sabbath, know why and panic not....... If I get home afore the hand strikes 18H00 then I shall make a plan....

So you mob out there in Virtual Braai World have a good day!

;)
