Try Checkers/Checkers Hyper. The ones here seems to have all their braai stuff available.
Wanted to get a new grid for the Weber, food thermometer and wood chips to smoke. Not really stuff Checkers stocks :(

Did find wood chips at Spar though. Going to be and interesting braai tomorrow

I did some more research on this.
Looks like I've been doing it wrong. :p
Only tried it twice though.

Yeah, but apparently should soak in water for 30 mins first. Haven't really tried it before

i only tried this once before years ago
i was gifted a small stainless steel smoker box
size of a carton of 30s smokes is about what i can think of now

i put the shavings in there that were soaking in a bucket of water for 60 minutes before
and closed the lid, the smoker box has lots of air vents all around it.

Popped it into the weber on the coals and added meat and then closed the weber lid

couple minutes later you see the smoke coming out the vents on the lid, looked like a Thomas The Tank Steam Engine

the end result is lots of smoke and there is the flavoring in the meat but i honestly wouldn't do it again, too much smoke if you live in a windy place and those shavings are not cheap
